3 things that may be helpful if a loved one or someone you know is healing from a brain injury:

While I’m not an expert, I felt led to share 3 things that may be helpful if a loved one or someone you know is healing from a brain injury:

1). Change can be extremely overwhelming — especially if it’s only been a few months since the injury. It can be a lot for a healing brain to process. Be patient with them while they learn to be patient with themselves.

2). They may move slower than they used to. If this is the case, allow extra time to do things. Move slow with them. Besides, what’s the rush? This world needs to take more time to stop & smell the roses anyways :)

3). Anxiety, depression, irritability, grief, mood changes after a brain injury…it’s all real. They may even feel/ seem like a shell of themselves. If this is the case, let them know you are here to support in any way possible with big hugs and even bigger prayers.

God has wired us to live in community with one-another, to support those in need. My prayer is that these things would not only help, but encourage you to give yourself grace while walking this journey with your person.❤️ hugs!
